HELP LINE UP 100 IN
When L. St. Amand Enterprises and St. Amand Auto & Truck Repair present THE event of the summer that features the 4th Annual Bob St. Amand Sr. Memorial 100 lap Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series … the third and final Enduro Qualifier accelerated by Niagara College is one of the support events of the Civic Holiday Extravaganza.
Ever wanted to know how to pull off the perfect race winning move? Or are you one of those You Tubers looking for the few seconds of fame in getting your video on Dumbest Stuff on Wheels? Enduro Racing at Merrittville Speedway steps on the gas and answers all the questions you want to know but are afraid to ask.
“Our Enduros attract all kinds,” relates (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “ drivers with no experience … some that have run this type of event before and even some of our regular Saturday Night competitors … but in the end … it’s more survival than experience that counts.”
The Enduro Qualifying Series accelerated by Niagara College breaks it all down as it speeds through 2013 and blows your mind with a high octane blast of hard turns and twisted metal. Enduro Racing is part SCIENCE, part STUNT, part INFO-TAINMENT and always 100% ADRENALINE and OUTRAGEOUS FUN Now’s the time to push up your sleeves … get your hands dirty as cars will be jacked up, busted apart and pushed to their limits and beyond.
You’ll crash, skid, swerve, slam, and demolish your way in one last event that leads up to the 100 lap Smash-o-rama Main Event … Sunday September 8th!. You’ll be quite busy but you could still put a car together for next Monday’s event that also includes another Duel on the Dirt Home Track Event for the Hoosier Stocks and a special Non-winners race for the Rick’s Delivery Sportsman Division.
“It’s pretty basic,” adds Bicknell-Jones, “ it’s a street car with safety modifications – everything else is stock as you found it … an Enduro car is not a race car – it’s a car that races.” Depending on what happens in any of the qualifiers, a competitor could use the same car in the qualifier and the 100 lap Finale that will be lined up by heats.
On the Friday Night of the Tripleheader (September 6th), Qualifying Heats will set up Sunday’s starting positions via a heads up format. Each of the qualifier winners will start in the top 3 spots with each heat winner locked in behind - i. e. – the first heat winner will start 4th, the second 5th and so on. Drivers in each heat will be put into the 100 lapper accordingly as to their heat finishing positions after the heat winners. If a driver is preregistered but doesn’t compete in a heat – he or she will be added to the field behind those qualified from a heat. The balance of the field will be made up with late registrants after the deadline and or on race day.
On Friday Night the Pit Gates will open at 5 PM and Enduro Cars must be inspected prior to the event. Same goes for Sunday when they will open at 9 AM. Drivers that are preregistered are FREE on the Friday Night as well.
