Mother Nature Gets Another Show at Merrittville

by Steven Petty.....THOROLD, ONTARIO (July 6, 2019) … Strong to severe thunderstorms rolled through the Niagara Region on Saturday afternoon and with the heat warning that was issued for Niagara, Merrittville Speedway management pulled the plug on the racing program scheduled for Saturday, July 6.
“With the rains that came in the early afternoon, we just needed a break and have the sun come out, but it just was not in the forecast”, states Merrittville Speedway owner Don Spiece. The rainout was Merrittville’s sixth of the season.
