 The weekend of the summer is here for Merrittville Speedway Race Fans and Teams and Tim Hortons will serve up the opener Saturday August 2nd with a Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series program that features the second round of the David Chevrolet King of the Crates Series for Rick’s Delivery Sportsman Division.

Hingston Metal Fabricators closed the month of July Saturday Night at Merrittville Speedway with Cody McPherson of St. Catharines and Leroy Buscumb of Port Colborne taking home wins in the 30 lap Tri Track Series Event for the Rick’s Delivery Sportsman Division and the 2nd Round of the Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinder Triple Crown Series rain-delayed from Semenuk’s Esso Archer Truck Service Night.

Modern Corporation’s 9th Annual Trucker Show ‘N Shine Night at the Thorold DIRTcar sanctioned oval will fill the grandstand area with trucks of all kinds before they take to the track for the annual Show and Shine Competition that is voted on by the fans.

St. Mathieu de Beleoil Quebec’s Steve Poirer won the annual visit of the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints June 28th in front of a standing room only crowd. In the Cotton Inc. Canada Day Celebration, Billy Hogue of Dain City and Brandon Easey of St. Catharines each won their first Features of the season in the Hoosier Stock and Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modified Divisions respectively. Alex Schuts closed out the Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series action taking home the 2nd Ballhockey.com Enduro Qualifier accelerated by Niagara College.
