Reception begins at 4:30 pm with
opening ceremonies at 6:00 PM sharp!

The top
12 members in all divisions are
eligible for point money and awards
based on 75% attendance. Drivers
must be in attendance to receive
prize money and awards or you may
pick them up at the drivers meeting
in 2009. |

Shawn Sliter had
some problems August 16th when trying to do
celebratory donut at Merrittville Speedway.
Other than that miscue the 2007 Driver of the
Year delivered quite a 12th Birthday Gift for
his son Dillan – taking both Lucas Oil Open
Wheel Lite Features in the Avondale Food
Stores Double Feature Night.
It was also quite a night for Robbie Rounce
and Brandon Easey

Merrittville Speedway August 12th saw one
driver make his first trip to KC Auto Parts
Victory Lane. Chance Watt won his first
KC Auto Parts Novice 2 Summer Series Feature
while for two others remain undefeated.

For the sixth
time of the season, Merrittville Speedway
Officials were forced to cancel racing as
early evening showers spoiled the CMH Sales
and Leasing ‘Help a Child Smile Night’ –
August 9th. While many race fans
were then able to watch the Super Clean
Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil on
Speed – they were not able to enjoy the
Thorold track’s Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series

Like so many
drivers over the years, a young Trevor Wilkens
would get his start in racing Go Karts –
however long before Merrittville Speedway’s
Tuesday night Kart Club was even in the
planning stages as the Virgil Kart Club and
others would provide the setting.
Trevor competed against such drivers as Tammy
Willard who was one of the most recent
inductees into the L. St. Amand Enterprises
Wall of Fame – last season
