The Raceline Radio Network and Merrittville Speedway are Partners Again for 2022 on News Talk 610 CKTB!

March 24, 2022 // Toronto, Ontario, Canada-

The Raceline Radio Network, Canada’s National Radio Motorsport Authority, celebrating their 30th Anniversary on the air, is delighted to announce the renewal of their marketing and advertising partnership with Merrittville Speedway, Thorold, Ontario.

The re-signing marks Merrittville’s 71st consecutive season as Canada’s oldest and longest operating speedway.

2022 ushers in a new era of The Best Family Entertainment in Niagara, clear of Covid-19 restrictions.

Raceline Radio is heard in Merrittville’s immediate market serving their loyal fan base in Niagara, Southern Ontario and Western New York on News Talk 610 CKTB Radio St. Catharines, Monday nights at 11 PM, and Saturday evenings at 6 PM eastern.

Merrittville’s schedule and results are also prominent on 610 CKTB on the Raceline Radio Friday morning preview segment of “Niagara in Morning with Tim Denis”, and the Monday morning Raceline Radio Race Wrap following sports on the half-hours.

“Every season Merrittville’s record of longevity gets more impressive! Seventy-one consecutive years of operation is truly amazing and unequalled in the sport in Canada! I am extremely proud of my personal and professional history with Merrittville that started back in the 70’s as track announcer when my wife Janice’s family co-owned Merrittville, through our current partnership with Raceline Radio on News Talk 610 CKTB. Don and Lorraine Spiece’s ownership, management and vision upholds the Merrittville tradition for current and future generations of race fans,” stated Niagara-based Raceline Radio Network anchor Erik Tomas. “Their new ‘Merrittville Eats’ food plaza is a modern upgrade transforming the Speedway into a lucrative multi-function year-round facility similar to the highly successful business model now used by countless speedways and motorsport venues across the sport. The Raceline Radio Network is honoured to continue playing a part in Merrittville’s heritage and growth,” Tomas added.

“71 years for us and 30 years for Raceline Radio! Big numbers mean big things! Erik and The Raceline Radio Network continue to connect with race fans, providing complete coverage of every aspect of our sport,” stated Merrittville Speedway owner General Manager Lorraine Spiece. "Our 71st season is very important as we welcome back fans after two years of Covid restrictions. We thank everyone very much for their loyal support, especially of our new Merrittville Eats feature that’s already extremely popular. Erik and Raceline Radio on CKTB have been huge promoting Merrittville’s great racing and delicious treats,” Spiece continued.
