Merrittville Postpones Test, Tune & Inspection Day to April 20th/22
Thorold, ON (April 15th, 2022)….With the high percentage of rain and cold temperatures in the forecast for late Good Friday afternoon and Saturday morning of April 16th, Merrittville Speedway has decided to postpone Test, Tune and Inspection Day.
The track will be hosting their practice day now on Wednesday April 20th, 2022. Don Spiece, owner of Canada’s longest running track said, “The track is in perfect shape and ready to go right now, with the forecast being what it is we will have a tough struggle getting the pits and track race ready for our Spring Sizzler on the 23rd if the forecast stays true.”
Test, Tune and Inspection Day will start on Wednesday with the gates opening at 4:00 pm. Tech will open at 5:00 pm and the track will go green at 7:00 pm.
“We want everything perfect for the Spring Sizzler on Saturday, it is our first Spring Sizzler in 2 years. We are chomping at the bit, just as much as the fans, crews and drivers are,” mentioned Don Spiece. “At the same time, we want to give the drivers the opportunity to make sure their equipment is ready to go for our 71st season”
