Celebrate Canada Day and Schools Out for Summer This Weekend at Merrittville Speedway
THOROLD, ONTARIO (June 24, 2024) … Come celebrate Canada Day and celebrate “Schools Out for Summer” this coming Saturday night at Merrittville Speedway. The Semenuk’s ESSO/Baron Roofing DIRTcar Sportsman will be featured in their second Western Region event at Merrittville. Bobcat of Hamilton will present the racing action, which will also feature the Commercial Auto Electric 358 Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks, RONA/Doidge Building Centre Mod Lites and the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders, each will run double features to make up some of the races lost this year due to weather.
Fans are encouraged to wear red and white to celebrate Canada Day and there will be bouncy houses, face painting, balloon twisting, games, plus Canada Day Cupcakes and FIREWORKS!
The first visit from the Sportsman Super DIRTcar Series was just a couple weeks ago that saw Cody McPherson in victory lane over Jay Mallory, Adam Leslie, Curtis Friesen, and Brett Senek. McPherson has been the only driver to see the checkered flag first in Sportsman feature action at Merrittville in 2024.
